Ustadh Shihab – Youth Director & Assistant Imam

The Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) is pleased to have Ustadh Shihab serving as the Youth Director and Assistant Imam.

Ustadh Shihab's background in traditional Islamic studies includes completing his Hifz at Darul Uloom of Atlanta and earning a four-year Alimiyyah degree from Tibyaan Seminary. His academic achievements include a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Islamic theology and philosophy from Zaytuna College. He is currently in the process of applying for Ph.D. programs to further his scholarly pursuits.

With extensive experience in youth leadership and community engagement, Ustadh Shihab has been involved in mentoring and program development from a young age. His contributions include working with his teachers to enhance local Sunday school programs, serving as Vice President of the Muslim Students’ Association at Georgia State University, and most recently, leading youth initiatives as a Youth Director at CAIR-FL in Tampa.

Ustadh Shihab is honored to be part of the Tulsa Muslim community and looks forward to fostering a strong and dynamic environment for youth engagement.
